Hot!

It is so hot! I know it's hot everywhere, but I'm just ready for some fall weather. Upper 90's for days on end is too much. Last night at 10 p.m. it was still 92 out!

I went to lunch yesterday with my friend Tina and had some great Mexican food. I've been pretty good about my food choices this week. I worked out at Curves 3 days this week and hope to get another workout in over the weekend.

Today is my favorite day of the week! When I leave work at 4:00, I don't come back for three whole days! Camden is very excited to hear we're going to a "radio" tomorrow night. He went and found his old cowboy hat, which is way too small, and wants to ride the horse on daddy's foot constantly. He also likes to ride the bull - counts to 8 and then falls off. I think he'll have a great time.

It's tax-free weekend in Tennessee, so we're going shopping on Saturday. Okay, we had already planned to go shopping and then discovered it was tax-free weekend. Brian almost backed out.

I have two cute layouts to share, but blogger is messing up again and won't let me post pictures. I might try back later.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
