Independence

In about two days time Camden has gone from wanting us to do everything for him to wanting to do it all by himself. He's very insistent! A funny story. This morning I was getting his clothes together and teasing him said, "Oh, no, you don't have any underwear." He looked at me and said, "Maybe we could help someone special." No idea how that fits in! Today is his last day with Mrs. Jennifer at school. He's had her for two years, and she is wonderful. He is clearly her favorite, and he loves her as well. When he was a baby, he would scream if she left his sight, so she would just take him everywhere with her. I'm so sad he's moving out of her class, but we're very pleased with his new teacher.

Your zoo layout caught my attention immediately because we have the same gorilla statue at our zoo. But, I live in a different state than you so this photo didn't happen to be at Niabi zoo did it? I know it's a long shot but thought I'd ask. LOL

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
