Oh, snap

Camden’s new favorite phrase is “Oh, snap.” "Chicken Little’s daddy says it" is what he told us when we asked where he heard it. He must say it 100 times every day. It’s quite funny!

It’s been almost a week since I blogged and I feel too overwhelmed to recap 6 whole days. So I’ll just settle with saying we had a nice weekend, got to see my mom and a family friend. Camden had lots of fun playing with his Grandma. He was running a fever Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, but when we took him to the doctor, he said it must be viral because there was no sign of infection. He’s back at school today and happy to be out of the house.

We found out Saturday night that Camden is going to have a new cousin. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are expecting their third baby in May. They had actually started the process of domestic adoption, but God obviously had other plans. We're very excited for them!

My friend Kim kindly sent me PSE4, and so I had a great time over the weekend learning some of the fun things it can do. My favorites are actions! I spent some serious money on scrapping supplies. I can’t help it – I was inspired by all the new things I can do with it. Here are some of my weekend layouts.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
