Fall has arrived

Finally! Some great fall weather! Brian and Camden headed out to the football game Friday night in sweatshirts! I just love the crisp feel when fall arrives.

I took Camden in to get his flu shot Friday and also to have his chest and ears checked because he's had a cold for weeks. Everything was clear, but the doctor did prescribe Zyrtec for him to help with these fall allergies. When he received his flu shot, he screamed bloody murder! It was slightly embarrassing (okay, really embarrassing) as he continued to scream as we walked through the hall, into the waiting room, and into the elevator. Maybe he'll toughen up one of these days!

Brian and Camden had fun at the football game while I enjoyed a bit of quiet time at home! Saturday we were up bright and early and headed to the soccer field since Camden had two games. They were disasters as usual. We still have no wins; at least our team did score a couple of goals.

I've got lots of layouts to post, but blogger is not letting me upload, so they'll have to wait for later.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
