Today is a good day! My brother, who has been in Iraq since July 2006 arrives back in Seattle, Washington, and my parents get to be there! He was actually scheduled to arrive Wednesday, but the military changed his schedule and it wasn’t going to be until Sunday, but the Red Cross stepped in and arranged a flight for him so that my parents hadn’t traveled to Washington for no reason and they also were able to arrange a leave for him so that he could go with my parents to see Becky before her surgery.

I posted several Gymboree and Janie and Jack size 2-3t auctions on eBay if anyone is interested in cute boy stuff. Click here.

I finally got around to downloading the pictures from Camden’s first soccer game onto the computer. Here are a couple to look at – I’m going to keep trying to get some good shots, but I really need a different lens. The one I have does not have enough zoom! (hint, hint, Brian)

Fall is in the air and I've always said that Camden is the best dressed boy I've ever seen!!!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
