Finally Friday

Well, my house is a wreck. Organizing is not a good idea when you've got company coming. Rory's room looks better than it's ever looked, though. It was a bit disconcerting to realize she has about 15 pairs of summer sandals and shoes (did I just admit that?). Good news is that I bought several of them used at a consignment sale and most of them I bought last year during end of the year sales. Oh, and she just outgrew her little Sketchers so that totally makes room for a new pair. (Just kidding) And don't even get me started on the hairbows. I have got to buy one of these. I've admitted defeat and am giving up on the rest of the closets and am hoping just to get Camden's room finished this morning.

Our weekend is a busy one. My parents, sister, and twin boys are arriving this afternoon (hopefully sooner rather than later because I am not going to be able to contain Camden and Rory's excitement for much longer). Tonight Camden has a game; tomorrow we're meeting a couple of cousins and the entire clan which will be 9 adults and 4 kids at Logans for lunch. Tomorrow night another game, then church on Sunday and everyone goes home. Quick trip!

Hopefully I'll have lots of fun pictures Monday!

I had to laugh - Sumner has 2 pairs of sandals....and I bought them both from you! :) Sorry the organizing didn't go well. I usually end up with a bigger mess than I started with!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
