Almost Wordless Wednesday

Rory has been in a model mood lately and has been asking me to take her picture. Apparently, all my begging and bribing for pictures has finally won her over. Even Camden, while not asking to have his picture taken, has learned that it's easier to just cooperate and get it all over with.

This was actually after the "photoshoot" was over, and Camden was just trying to be sweet. As usual, Rory only wants kisses on her own terms.
 This would be Camden after I laughed at him trying to kiss Rory.

This is her go-to face when I pull out the camera these days. Nice.And this would be her second go-to face. Has she been watching America's Next Top Model during naptime? (cause she's sure not sleeping)

When Camden got in the car yesterday, he declared his second day of first grade to be marvelous. Where does he get these words?

Ok, that picture of Camden trying to kiss Rory MUST be submitted to a photo contest!!!

And, the model pout, well, Rory's just a natural! So cute.

I was thinking the same thing as Kelly... you really do need to submit that "kiss" photo. Maybe to Adoptive*Families?!

The rest of the photos are, uhm, "Marvelous" as well!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. (the adult who spent a week at camp might have been tired too) Camden had the camera and took these pictures of me and Becky, Liz, and mom. Lewis/Hale/Derby/Lemons family - you're all caught up!

7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
