Our Day

A little glimpse into our day yesterday:

Started off the day with Camden having to miss breakfast after 4-5 disparaging remarks about his homemade cinnamon toast (which he normally loves). Complaining about food has been a general theme around our house recently, and we've tried working on it gently and it's not helping. So I employed a little tough love.

Rory lost her popsicle for dessert at lunch after she hit Camden while they were getting ready for lunch. Yes, hit. Hitting is her theme around the house these days. Of course, Camden's theme is aggravating her to pieces (which might explain the hitting), but that's another story.

Rory slept for all of 30 minutes at naptime. For the sake of my sanity, I decided she needed to spend some time playing in her bed for the rest of naptime.

We had no internet access most of the day (and it's sketchy today as well).

It was 103 degrees outside. That would be about 30 degrees too warm for me.

However, there was also a bit of this, and that kind of made up for the rest.

Amazing how a few minutes of "good" can make up for a whole day of "bad" ... isn't it?!

Oh Melissa - I feel your pain! At least we can still send the kids out to play! I think they are starting to get tired of each other. Of course, when school starts - they will complain they miss each other! Hope you can keep your sanity through the last days of summer. : )
